Meet Angelic Ashlea who is 9 years old and has Cerebral Palsy. She also has a visual impairment with no vision in her left eye and an involved medical history including a kidney transplant in 2013, which she has recovered well from.
Ashlea’s mother is a full-time carer, assisting Ashlea with most activities of daily living whilst also caring for her husband, who experienced a hypoxic brain injury after donating one of his kidneys to Ashlea. This has been a traumatic and stressful event for the family.
Beautiful Ashlea lives with her parents, twin and older sister and requires the assistance of a manual wheelchair to mobilise longer distances around her home, school and community environments. Due to a growth spurt since receiving her donor kidney, her current manual wheelchair has become much too small for her and needs replacing.
Ashlea requires a manual wheelchair, which fits her well, provides adjustments for future growth, has supportive seating, is easy for an attendant to assist with and enables her to be transported in the chair.
JMF along with the generous donation from Clarendon Homes are granting Ashlea a Quickie Zippie Zone wheelchair which we expect to last her well into High School because of the amount of built in adjustment for growth.
A BIG JMF thank you to Clarendon Homes who have changed Ashlea’s life and ensured her inclusion in everyday life for years to come.
Please help us help more families and children like Ashlea by DONATING TODAY.
